Azeroth Survivors not working: first checks

Confirm that the address is wow.aethus.pl, opened as its own page. The creator’s launcher blocks third-party frames. If you arrived through an embedded game on another site, use the original address before diagnosing your browser.

Do not begin by clearing cookies or site data. The launcher refers to character data in browser storage, and deleting that storage can remove progress. If the game still opens far enough to export a save, make a backup first using the save guide.

Match the loading error to the right check

These checks follow the conditions handled in the creator’s current launcher. They are diagnostic steps, not a promise that a setting will make an unsupported device work.

On a small screen, scroll the table sideways to read every column.

What you seeWhat to checkSuccess signal and fallback
A warning that WebGPU is unavailableUpdate a stable browser and check that your system can expose WebGPU. The creator suggests current Chrome, Edge or Safari. The warning clears and loading begins. If it persists, check the browser/device support or consider the creator’s Windows route.
WebGPU is present but no usable graphics card is foundCheck graphics acceleration, the graphics driver and, on a dual-GPU Windows laptop, which GPU runs the browser. The game gets past the adapter warning. If it cannot, record the message and device details.
A device-lost or graphics-card-stopped messageRecord the full error, then reload once. If repeated, investigate the driver and GPU selection.A new session loads and remains responsive. Repeated losses need a reproducible report, not repeated refreshes.
A black or frozen screen without a useful messageWait for visible loading progress to finish, then record whether the page failed before or after the character screen. The client reaches its interface. If it remains blank, capture the error and use the blank-screen checks below.
HTTP 429 or a busy noticeStop repeated requests. Observe any wait instruction or Retry-After information.Try the original page later. The creator’s Windows link may be an alternative; clearing saves is not a rate-limit fix.
An embedded-site or fake-site warningOpen the original creator page directly. The author’s page opens as the top-level page. Do not try to bypass the frame restriction.

WebGPU and graphics adapter checks

Update the browser, restart it and reopen the original page. The presence of a WebGPU API is only one requirement: the browser also has to obtain a usable graphics adapter. That is why an API-support check can pass while the game still fails.

For Chrome or Edge, check the browser’s system settings for graphics acceleration and restart after a change. The creator’s launcher also points Windows laptop users with two GPUs toward Windows Settings → System → Display → Graphics, then the browser’s High performance preference. Menu wording can vary by Windows and browser version; use the corresponding setting on your system.

Change one thing at a time and keep a note of the original setting. If the browser is managed by a school or workplace, ask the administrator about blocked capabilities. Use the browser’s normal update and support route rather than enabling experimental flags as a first step.

Diagnose a black or frozen game screen

A black canvas can accompany a graphics failure or a client startup failure. The creator’s loading code also handles client and game-data loading before the game draws its own interface. Note whether a loading counter is changing, whether an error appears and whether a previous session reached the character screen.

After recording that state, try a single reload. If a browser update or a new game release has just occurred, reopening the original page is a reasonable first check. Avoid deleting all site data to force a fresh start. If you try another browser or profile, treat it as a separate diagnostic environment: it may not show your original progress.

If you are comfortable opening your browser’s developer tools, the first relevant console error can help the creator distinguish a failed download from a graphics crash. Share only the useful error text and redact personal information; a complete browser dump is usually unnecessary.

HTTP 429 and the creator’s busy notice

The HTTP standard defines 429 as rate limiting. It does not tell you an exact number of players online, whether the restriction applies to your connection or the whole service, or when the game will recover. The creator’s current launcher shows its busy notice when a startup error contains HTTP 429.

Respect a displayed wait instruction or Retry-After value. If none is provided, pause and try later rather than refreshing rapidly. Do not use proxies, alternate copies or repeated automated requests to evade the limit. The creator’s Windows download route is a separate option to review.

What to include in a game loading report

The creator links a Discord community. Read its rules and use the appropriate place for help. A short, reproducible description is more useful than only saying that the game is broken.

  • Exact warning or error text, plus whether it appeared before loading, during loading or after play began.
  • Device, operating system and browser version; include the graphics card if you know it.
  • The original page address, time of the failure and whether it happens on every attempt.
  • The single changes you tried and their results. Do not attach a save publicly unless the creator requests one through a suitable channel.

Common questions

Will clearing browser data fix it?

It is not an appropriate first step. It can remove browser progress and does not solve missing graphics support or a server request limit. Back up your save before any destructive browser reset.

Does a WebGPU detector prove the game will run?

No. API exposure, a usable adapter, sufficient device capabilities and successful client startup are separate conditions.

Is a black screen proof that the server is down?

No. Graphics and startup failures can also leave a black screen. Record the error and loading stage before deciding which branch to follow.

    What this source establishes

Current HTML read on 2026-10-27. It links the Windows RAR and Discord and loads rogue.js with stamp e06ce49391fe. The page includes a WebGPU warning. Reading the page is not a successful gameplay or device compatibility test.

  2. Creator's current browser launcher (opens in a new tab)Aethus · Checked 2026-10-27
    What this source establishes

Read as static text, without running the client. Confirms third-party frame rejection; WebGPU API, adapter and lost-device checks; current browser guidance; sound activation on user input; saves.js import; and the documented Options → Saves → Import Save path. The query stamp is an asset cache identifier, not a semantic game version. No control bindings, run outcome or Windows save compatibility were established.

  3. Creator's browser loading code (opens in a new tab)Aethus · Checked 2026-10-27
    What this source establishes

Current static source describes and implements client/data loading indicators and startup error handling. This supports distinguishing loading stages from an error; it does not establish a universal normal loading time.

  4. Discord community linked by the creator (opens in a new tab)Discord community linked from wow.aethus.pl · Checked 2026-10-27
    What this source establishes

This exact invitation is present in the creator's current HTML. No server was joined, messages sent, channel names checked or support response promised.

  5. HTML Standard — Web storage (opens in a new tab)WHATWG · Checked 2026-10-27
    What this source establishes

Primary browser standard for site-specific local storage and removal of stored keys. Used only to explain browser storage scope and data-clearing risk; not evidence of a game account sync service or of a successful save transfer.

  6. RFC 6585, section 4 — HTTP 429 (opens in a new tab)IETF / RFC Editor · Checked 2026-10-27
    What this source establishes

Primary technical standard: 429 denotes request rate limiting, and a response may include Retry-After. The code does not identify an exact concurrent player count or establish the cause of a particular game outage.

Keep exploring.
