Find Options → Saves in the original game
Open wow.aethus.pl in the browser profile where your expected progress is visible. From the game menu, choose Options in the upper-right corner, then Saves in the left sidebar.
In the browser client observed on October 27, 2026, v0.122.0 (508416ff), this screen displayed Export Save and Import Save buttons above a Backups section. The screen describes the file as containing heroes, the zones each class has opened, gear, talents and the codex.
These observations establish the visible controls and wording. No downloaded save file was inspected, no import was completed and no restoration was tested in that session.
Export first, then verify the file
Select Export Save in Options → Saves. In the observed session, the game displayed “Your save was downloaded.” The browser save bridge generates a timestamped .sav download.
The message is an interface success signal; it is not proof that a usable file reached your disk. In the observation, file receipt and contents were not verified. Check your own browser’s download record and the actual file before relying on the backup.
- Confirm the expected progress in the original browser and profile before exporting.
- Open Options → Saves and select Export Save. Look for the game’s confirmation and check the browser’s downloads list.
- Locate the completed .sav file on your device. Keep its original extension and do not edit its contents.
- Copy it to a dated backup folder and note which progress it represents. Keep an older known-good file as well as the new export.
- Before importing elsewhere, export the destination’s existing progress too and preserve the two files separately.
What the Backups section says
The observed Saves screen says the game keeps a backup for each hour of play and retains the latest five. It presents importing a backup as a way to return to that state.
The observed session showed No backups yet. That state does not verify hourly creation or restoration, and the five-backup description does not replace an export you keep separately. Before trying an earlier backup, export your current progress. Read any replacement confirmation before proceeding.
Import replaces all progress
The warning at the bottom of the observed Saves screen states that importing replaces all progress with the progress in the file. Treat the operation as a replacement, not a merge of two sets of characters or unlocks.
The browser file picker permits .sav and .txt. The game, rather than the filename extension, checks the contents. Renaming a file or choosing any text file does not establish compatibility.
- Export and verify a backup of the destination’s current progress first.
- In Options → Saves, choose Import Save and select a copy of the intended backup.
- Read the validation result and any confirmation. Cancel if the file, its source or the replacement effect is unclear.
- After an accepted import, inspect the expected characters and progress before continuing or discarding backups. A successful restoration has not been tested by this guide.
- Preserve the original source file and destination backup while investigating any mismatch. Do not overwrite your only known-good copy.
If an export or import does not work
Preserve your browser data and existing files while investigating. Record the exact message and the action that produced it before trying another change.
On a small screen, scroll the table sideways to read every column.
| Problem | Useful check | Safe next step |
|---|---|---|
| The game confirms export but no file is visible | Check the browser’s downloads list, download location and any blocked-download notification. | Do not count the backup as complete until you locate the actual file. |
| The file is not visible in the picker | Check that it is the original .sav or .txt, not an archive or shortcut. | Locate the original export without inventing or editing its contents. |
| The game rejects the file | Record the validation error, source client and export date. | Keep current progress and all backups; ask the creator about that file and client. |
| Imported progress is unexpected | Confirm the selected file and the progress you expected. | Stop overwriting files. Preserve both the source export and destination backup. |
| Another browser looks empty | Check which browser/profile and original website held the old session. | Return there and export while that progress is available. |
| The game cannot load far enough to export | Identify the loading message. | Use loading help without clearing the original site data. |
Browser transfers and Windows compatibility
The Saves screen presents export as a way to keep a copy or carry progress to another computer or browser. That describes the intended feature; an end-to-end transfer and its resulting progress were not verified in the observation.
For a browser move, keep the original profile intact, back up the destination and verify the imported result before relying on it. Browser storage belongs to its website and browser context, so another profile can show different local progress.
Windows interchange, cross-version compatibility and automatic synchronization remain untested here. Follow the creator’s instructions for that package; this guide has not verified a Windows save path or a Windows import/export workflow.
A build plan is a different file
The manual build planner stores the choices and notes you enter on this guide website. Its JSON file does not contain the creator’s game progress and cannot replace a game .sav export. Use game exports for progress and planner exports for your own notes.
Common questions
Where are Export Save and Import Save?
In the observed original browser client, open Options from the game menu and choose Saves in the left sidebar. Both buttons appear at the top of the Saves panel.
Did this guide verify a downloaded save file?
The game displayed its download-success message after Export Save. No downloaded file was inspected in that session, so the observation does not establish a usable backup or successful restoration.
How many automatic backups does the game keep?
The observed Saves screen states that it makes a backup for each hour of play and keeps the latest five. Creation and restoration were not tested; the observed session had no backups yet.
Does importing merge two sets of progress?
The visible warning says importing replaces all progress with the progress in the file. Export the destination before importing.
Can I move saves between Windows and the browser?
That interchange remains untested. The browser interface and its stated transfer purpose do not verify compatibility with a particular Windows package or another game version.
Will clearing browser data remove progress?
It can remove the stored site data used for browser progress. Export and locate a backup before a reset, and do not clear site data as your first loading fix.
Sources & check notes
Sources reviewed on October 27, 2026. A source review is distinct from a successful gameplay or device test.
- Azeroth Survivors — creator's game page (opens in a new tab)
What this source establishes
Current HTML read on 2026-10-27. It links the Windows RAR and Discord and loads rogue.js with stamp e06ce49391fe. The page includes a WebGPU warning. Reading the page is not a successful gameplay or device compatibility test.
- Original browser client — menu, saves and first-upgrade observation (opens in a new tab)
What this source establishes
Original browser client observed on 2026-10-27; the menu displayed v0.122.0 (508416ff). Test record: original-web-2026-10-27-warrior-first-choice. Human Warrior was selected and Enter Elwynn Forest was clicked. The loaded zone showed Move to begin, timer 00:00 and a 03:00 next-boss marker. One W press started the timer; no attack input was sent and a kill-counter increase was observed. At 00:08, Level 2 offered Battle Shout, Whirlwind and Bloodrage, with six spell slots, one occupied, a 2/6 new-spell indication and Reroll 3. Pressing 2 selected Whirlwind; the next observation at 00:14 showed Level 3 and its icon in the second slot. These were the offers and timings in this one short run, not guaranteed rolls, progression timing or a build comparison. A single Escape press did not open a pause menu. Other movement and shortcut keys were read from the menu or Key Bindings, not separately exercised. Saves UI showed Export Save, Import Save, the hourly/latest-five backup description and an all-progress replacement warning. Export displayed its success message, but no disk file was retrieved or inspected. No import, restoration, hourly backup creation, boss encounter, zone clear, mobile or Windows session was tested.
- Creator's current browser launcher (opens in a new tab)
What this source establishes
Read as static text, without running the client. Confirms third-party frame rejection; WebGPU API, adapter and lost-device checks; current browser guidance; sound activation on user input; saves.js import; and the documented Options → Saves → Import Save path. The query stamp is an asset cache identifier, not a semantic game version. No control bindings, run outcome or Windows save compatibility were established.
- Creator's browser save-file bridge (opens in a new tab)
What this source establishes
Current static source exports a timestamped .sav file and permits .sav/.txt in the import file picker. Comments describe client validation and confirmation before replacing the account. The bridge alone does not prove that any particular file will be accepted, that every detail survives a transfer, or that Windows and browser saves are interchangeable. No import was performed.
- HTML Standard — Web storage (opens in a new tab)
What this source establishes
Primary browser standard for site-specific local storage and removal of stored keys. Used only to explain browser storage scope and data-clearing risk; not evidence of a game account sync service or of a successful save transfer.
